Leads Management
The Leads module collects and manages contact information gathered by your AI assistants during conversations.
Overview
When users share their contact information with your assistants, FineGuide automatically creates lead records. This enables you to follow up with interested prospects and integrate with your sales workflow.
Enabling Lead Collection
Lead collection is disabled by default. To enable it:
- Go to your Assistant configuration
- Click the Features tab
- Scroll to Lead Collection
- Toggle Collect Customer Contacts on
Lead Collection Modes
Choose how aggressively your assistant requests contact information:
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Level 1 (Default) | "Allow full conversations, collect lead details if customer shows interest" — Only requests info when user demonstrates buying intent |
| Level 2 | "Allow conversations, ask lead details on each reply" — Engages naturally but prompts for contact info periodically |
| Level 3 | "Insist on lead details before engaging in conversation" — Requires contact information before providing assistance |
Choose based on your needs:
- Sales/Marketing sites: Level 2 or 3 to maximize lead capture
- Support sites: Level 1 to prioritize helping users first
- E-commerce: Level 1 or 2 balanced approach
Viewing Leads
Access all collected leads from the main sidebar:
- Click Leads in the navigation
- View the consolidated list of all leads from all assistants
Lead Information
Each lead record contains:

| Intent | What the user was interested in |
| Assistant | Which assistant collected the lead |
| Date | When the lead was captured |

Managing Leads
Search and Filter
Use the toolbar to find specific leads:
- Search — Find by name, email, or content
- Date range — Filter by capture date
- Assistant — Filter by which bot collected the lead
View Lead Details
Click any lead to see:
- Full contact information
- Conversation context and history
- User's intent and interests
Export Leads
Export your leads for use in other systems:
- Click the Export button
- Select CSV format
- The file downloads with all lead data
Exported fields:
- Name, Email, Phone
- Company, Intent
- Assistant name
- Capture date
- Conversation ID
Integrating with External Systems
Via Webhooks
Set up real-time lead notifications:
- Go to Assistant → Webhooks
- Create a new webhook
- Select the CREATE_LEAD event
- Enter your endpoint URL
When a lead is captured, FineGuide sends:

You can also push leads to your CRM using Actions:
- Create an action that calls your CRM API (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Configure it to trigger when contact info is collected
- The assistant will automatically sync leads

Best Practices
Optimize Lead Quality
- Use appropriate strictness — Match lead collection mode to your goals
- Train on relevant content — Assistants that provide value get more engaged leads
- Enable follow-up questions — Better understanding = better qualified leads
Manage Lead Volume
- Export regularly — Don't let leads sit uncontacted
- Set up webhooks — Get real-time notifications for immediate follow-up
- Track by assistant — Identify which bots generate the best leads
Comply with Privacy
- Be transparent — Ensure users know their info is being collected
- Handle data appropriately — Export and delete as needed for compliance
- Use collected info responsibly — Only for stated purposes
